Hula Kiʻi Resources

Hula Kiʻi Resources

Hula Kiʻi uses or incorporates images into dance. Its unique forms are preserved & perpetuated through multiple hula lineages from different islands. HPS has been working with Hula Kiʻi practitioners to share & pass on this tradition.

Our founder Auntie Nona Beamer had a fond love of Hula Kiʻi and she was passionate about sharing her tradition. Her inspiration continues to nurture our efforts and we have worked to document and preserve Hula Kiʻi forms and lineages. Resources in this virtual collection are a select set of materials compiled from the HPS Archive. Our research and work with Kiʻi practitioners is ongoing.
